Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox was born in Aberdeen Scotland on December 25 1954. Dorothy Farquharson is her mother as is Thomas Allison Lennox, father. Lennox was a flute, piano and harpsichord in the Royal Academy of Music London for three years in the 1970s. Lennox's budget was increased by a stipend to students as well as part-time employment. Lennox made the decision to alter her career path after she became dissatisfied by her inexperience in the same way as the other Royal Academy students. Lennox was initially a flute-player within the band Dragons Playground. The group didn't get to compete in the talent contest New Faces on I.T.V.
